Description
This segment from the May 23, 2015, episode of the series “Art Rocks!” features producer Donna LaFleur’s profile of the work of botanical artist Margaret Stones, a native of Melbourne, Australia, in documenting the native flora of Louisiana. LaFleur reports that Stones, who was commissioned by LSU for the project, completed a collection of more than 200 watercolor drawings over a 14-year period. She interviews former LSU Chancellor Dr. Paul Murrill, LSU Botany Professor Dr. Lowell Urbatsch, and retired LSU Theater Professor Dr. Gresdna Doty.
