Description
This episode of the series “En Francais” from October 7, 1984, features the first part of Amanda LaFleur’s profile of St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. She first takes a boat tour of the Atchafalaya Basin with Dwight Angelle from Whiskey River Landing in Henderson. LaFleur then interviews Murphy Angelle, who discusses his life around the Atchafalaya Basin. Lastly, she interviews Henderson Mayor Pat Huval, the owner of Pat’s Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant. He discusses the history of the town and their popular seafood restaurants. This episode was preserved through a 2018 CLIR Recordings at Risk Grant.
