This segment from the February 24, 1985, episode of the series “Folks” features Genevieve Stewart’s profile of the Sisters of the Holy Family in New Orleans, the second oldest order of black nuns in the United States. The order was founded in 1842 by Henriette DeLille. Stewart visits the Mother House and St. Mary’s Academy, the school run by the Sisters of the Holy Family. She interviews: Sister Barbara Marie; Sister Mary Francis Borgia; and Michelle Diaz and Leslie Williams, seniors at St. Mary’s Academy. Host: Rob Hinton
