In this episode from the “Hooks, Lies, and Alibis” series of “A Taste of Louisiana” from July 6, 2015, Chef John Folse goes dredging for oysters near Empire, Louisiana, with Matt Lepetich of Mato’s Premium Gulf Oysters. Chef Folse then travels to Isle de Jean Charles, Louisiana, and prepares Fire-Roasted Oysters with Curtis Hendon of the United Houma Nation. He then returns home to White Oak Plantation and cooks Oysters Rockefeller Soup with Matt Lepetich and Oyster Spaghetti with Joyce Lepetich. Lastly, Chef Folse mixes a drink called Oyster Shooters.
