Description
This program from December 2, 2013, features Charlie Whinham’s behind-the-scenes look at the recording of Antiques Roadshow in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in July 2013. Whinham first interviews two people bringing items to be appraised at the show, Barbara Sims, Sun records collection owner, and Chuck McMains, antique musket owner. Next, he interviews the people who make the show possible, including: Wes Cowan, appraiser; Jill Giles, associate producer; Marsha Bemko, executive producer; Mark L. Walberg, host; and Sarah Simmons, volunteer. Whinham then walks around on the show’s taping day and talks with some of the people who brought items for appraisal. Lastly, Anthony Slayter-Ralph appraises a Hawaiian Calabash Bowl brought in by Beth Courtney, LPB’s president and CEO.
